Long Hunter State Park, situated along the shore of J. Percy Priest Lake, offers picnicking, swimming, hiking, backpacking, boating, and fishing. The park is open 7:00am to sunset year round. Long Hunter State Park is located 6.2 miles south of I-40, exit 226A or 6.4 miles north of I-24, exit 62.
 

Cedars of Lebanon State Park offers fully equipped playgrounds, horseshoe pits, a lighted softball field, volleyball court, Frisbee golf, lighted tennis courts and horseback riding. The park is open year round from 8:00am - 10:00pm. Cedars of Lebanon State Park is located 6 miles south of I-40 on U.S. Highway 231.
 

J. Percy Priest Lake and Old Hickory Lake provide a variety of outdoor recreational opportunities. Because of the temperate climate and relatively long recreation season, visitors have numerous activities from which to choose, including: swimming, fishing, hunting, camping, picnicking, boating, canoeing, hiking and horseback riding. Both lakes provide sandy beaches and playgrounds with a nominal day use fee.
